The Winthrop Improvement and Historical Association (WIHA) is dedicated to preserving and maintaining the first period colonial Deane Winthrop House, its property, and collections. As responsible stewards since 1903, WIHA is committed to the educational enrichment of its members and visitors, upholding a longstanding promise to the Winthrop, MA community and the general public.
Join us as we celebrate Winthrop’s history, our community, and our nation’s birthday!
Visit us during Landing Day, cheer us on in the Horribles Parade, and step back in time with special Deane Winthrop House Tours during Sail Boston. Whether you’re a longtime member or discovering us for the first time, we invite you to celebrate with us and help preserve more than 375 years of Winthrop history.
Keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for additional details, tour information, and volunteer opportunities as each event approaches.
